Ecolution: An Earth Day Celebration Focuses on the Importance of Living Green

Monday, March 31, 2008 (Pittsburgh, PA) — Clear Channel Radio is proud to present Pittsburgh’s first green Earth Day event Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 6pm until 11pm at the Mattress Factory Art Museum in the North Side.

Celebrating appreciation for the Earth and raising awareness about the environment, IM Pittsburgh, Clear Channel Radio’s Integrated Marketing and Events Division, presents Ecolution: An Earth Day Celebration featuring a VIP reception, organic food and drinks, live DJ, eco-fashion show, and Elements performance.

Bob Sendall of All in Good Taste Productions will provide guests with organic foods courtesy of Giant Eagle Market District, and specialty organic cocktails. Local Pittsburgh green consultant company, Restorative Events, provided expertise for greening Ecolution, and all waste from the event will be recycled and composted.

Entertainment at Ecolution will include music by DJ Soy Sos, eco-fashion designs courtesy of the Art Institute and CAPA School, and an Elements performance featuring Umoja African Arts Company, Bodiography Contemporary Ballet and Center for Movement, and Lady J the Fire Eater.

In addition, Ecolution will feature a Mindful Marketplace highlighting local business and organization’s green initiatives with silent auction items benefiting the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.

Tickets for Ecolution are available online at www.pittsburghearthday.com; doors open at 6pm for VIP guests and 7pm for general admission ticket holders. Limited number of VIP tickets; at door tickets are available.
•    VIP Ticket ($125): includes VIP reception at 6pm with open bar featuring specialty foods and cocktails, complimentary Valet parking, goodie bag, admission to the main party from 7pm to 11pm, and complimentary organic foods and drinks.
•    General Admission Ticket ($50): includes complimentary valet parking, goodie bag, admission to the main party from 7pm to 11pm, and complimentary organic foods and drinks.
